How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Forkplate account directly from the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Forkplate app
  2. Go to the Settings tab
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears

Your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted immediately.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Your user profile and authentication record
  • All personal recipes and their associated images
  • All personal labels you created to organize recipes
  • All personal meal plan entries
  • All meal ratings and reviews you have submitted

Family Data

If you are a member of a family group, recipes and meal plans that belong to the family will remain accessible to other family members after your account is deleted. Your family membership will be removed.

If you are the owner of a family group, you must transfer ownership or delete the family before deleting your account.

Local Data

Data stored locally on your device (offline recipes, cached images) is not automatically removed when you delete your account. To remove local data, uninstall the app from your device.

Processing Time

Account deletion is processed immediately when you confirm the action in the app. There is no waiting period — your account and personal data are permanently removed right away.

Uploaded images may take up to 7 days to be fully removed from our storage servers.

Cannot Access the App?

If you are unable to delete your account through the app (e.g., you no longer have access to your device), you can request account deletion by email:

Send an email to info@forkplate.eu with the subject line "Delete My Account". Please include the email address associated with your Forkplate account. We will process your request within 30 days.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
